Un proyecto personal completo: una app web instalable (PWA) para consultar y trabajar con las tasas de cambio del Bolívar venezolano en tiempo real, resolviendo un problema real del día a día en Venezuela.

Qué construí

• Scraper propio en Python: obtiene la tasa oficial del BCV y calcula la mediana del P2P de Binance sobre el top 20 de comerciantes verificados, evitando que los valores atípicos distorsionen el precio real del mercado.
• Conversor y divisor de cuentas: conversión entre Bs, USD y EUR, y reparto de la cuenta entre varias personas incluyendo IVA y propina de forma proporcional.
• Billetera personal: gestión de cuentas, ingresos y gastos con categorías, estadísticas y traspasos con conversión automática.
• Autenticación y nube con Supabase, migración de datos locales a la nube y caché del histórico de tasas en Redis.

A complete personal project: an installable web app (PWA) to check and work with the Venezuelan Bolívar exchange rates in real time, solving a real day-to-day problem in Venezuela.

What I built

• Custom Python scraper: fetches the official BCV rate and computes the median of Binance P2P over the top 20 verified merchants, preventing outliers from distorting the real market price.
• Converter and bill splitter: conversion between Bs, USD and EUR, and splitting the bill among several people including VAT and tip proportionally.
• Personal wallet: managing accounts, income and expenses with categories, statistics and transfers with automatic conversion.
• Authentication and cloud with Supabase, local-to-cloud data migration and rate-history caching in Redis.
